wowie!!!

i was in the middle of writing this post when i spilled water on my laptop. thursday was not my day. thankfully my computer survived that dose of water. maybe it was dehydrated like me with all this heat! teddy did suggest that had it not survived it'd be a good excuse to upgrade to a mac of some kind........

anyway here is what i started to write on thursday, and managed to finish today:

i think i basically pass out when i go to sleep, 'cause there was a typhoon last night (wednesday night-early thursday morning) and i had no idea! i went out this morning to wind and rain, leaves and branches all over the place, and even some up rooted trees. i was nearly at the school i teach at on thursday mornings when they bothered to tell me not to come. don't they think by 9:53am, when i'm supposed to be there at 10am, i'm probably nearly there. uugghh. anyway i thought since i was out and about i'd stop and buy some rain boots on my way back home. i wanted to get these cute ones:


but they didn't have my size. so i chose my second favorite:

when i was wearing them around the house i noticed a small defect in them. i think i'll go out today and try to return them. i just learned last night that a friend bought them from the store across from where i went for about 12$ less. here's to hoping the store i first went to will give me my money back and that the other store has my size.

by-the-way.....teddy and i went to nova scotia and new brunswick this summer. i'll post some photos soon.
