i made it----finally!!

over a day later i finally made it to kentville. i arrived with t at the airport in incheon to be greeted by the flight agent who gave me my boarding pass, saying "i guess you didn't check the departure time before you came here.". it turns out the flight was delayed (in hong kong due to a typhoon) and not leaving incheon for another 3 hours, which meant that i would miss my connection to halifax. so i had to spend the night in the toronto airport just hanging out with all my bags 'till i could check them in at 5 am. i couldn't get a cart to push my bags around the airport 'cause in toronto you need to pay $2 to use one!!! what the heck is that?! my atm card wasn't working and i did have a visa but like the machine took visas and like i'd use my visa for that.............and air canada did nothing to compensate me for the delay! they said that because the delay was weather related they don't do anything about that and i just had to wait in the airport for my flight. so what was a 2 hour stop over ended up being an 8 hour stop over with nothing to eat or drink! luckily with only about 2 hours left to wait i remembered that somewhere in one of my bags there might be my wallet that might possibly have some canadian money in it. i mustered up enough energy out of myself after that extra wait in incheon and the 13 hour flight to toronto to search for my wallet that could have been anywhere in my bags or not at all in my bags and may have been sent home. i did find it and had enough money to buy a snack and coffee---because goodness knows that i may be pushing it to expect even a drink on the air canada flight from toronto to halifax. i arrived in halifax to a bright a clear sunny day, greeted by my parents and my mother's cousin and her husband. the trip ended way better than it started............we even had lobster sandwiches from mcdonald's on the way home! i finally saw my parent's newly renovated house and it looks awesome! well done! it's good to be home but i feel like i have no friends......'cause......here, i don't. but i've already got a road trip planned..........my sister amy and i are going to see our sister wendy and brother-in-law michael on thursday in new brunswick and then on friday we're going to bangor, maine for a little american shopping. sweet! (i need a job!........just kidding!) i'll let you know how that goes.

my time here is definitely closing in. in just a couple of hours i will get on a bus to seoul and then saturday evening i get on a plane. this past few days have been fun. with t on vacation this week we have been taking his scooter around to some of my favorite places in sokcho. we went to the beach a few times and to play in my favorite river. justin and rach have been hanging with us since they aren't travelling for their vacation. it's been fun. the rain finally stopped the week i'm leaving.......too bad we weren't doing these things the whole time i was back. oh well. we are going to have some fun in seoul and then start the countdown for t to finish here and for me to go meet him in mississippi. good bye sokcho. it was a great 5 years. i'll miss you.
