new orleans

t and i did a day trip to new orleans today. i suggest that city to anyone who likes good food and good music. well that's what we took in today, anyway. my friend who's from there was able to recommend a few things and we had a great time. we pretty much only walked around the french quarter. it's beautiful. there is a musician around every other corner, good food smells all over the place and there's a beautiful church in the middle of it. on the way into the french quarter we saw buildings still painted with the spray paint from the rescuers of katrina, indicating bodies or not inside. sometimes i think the images i see on tv are so far away, until i actually go there or remember that i've already been there! life is so good.......at least for me. the most interesting part of the trip was the 30+ miles we drove on the bridge over the bayou. saw houses only accessable by boat. and forever miles of swamp. it was really cool. i love seeing new things!

as for the dinner a few nights ago.........it turned out ok i guess. not much was said about it......but asians can be hard to read. i took the having seconds as a good sign.
