the waiting game

i had a great time seeing my friends all over ontario. it's too bad i only see most of them once every 2 or 3 years. i guess that's the price i pay for the life i have. i'm now enjoying playing chef for my sister and bro-in-law in saint john. aaaahhh.......to have someone to cook for again. i already have the meals mostly planned for this week and next! (yeah......i've missed our meal times a lot t.) the weather has been great since i arrived which is a big help in me getting back in shape. i've had a bit of trouble getting back into it but it only gets better from here.......especially after these next 5 or 6 weeks. i'm waiting for t to finish and get home to mississippi so i can go see him. hurry up baby!

i love friends!!!!!!!!!!!!

not too sure how often i have used that title.......but i think it all the time. i have really great friends and i love all of them. i had a great time in ottawa hooking up with friends from high school......university.......korea.........it was great. i also had a wonderful two days with another university friend in kingston. i came to st jacob's yesterday (that's next waterloo for anyone who's wondering) and i'm staying with andrew and amanda. i recruited them from home to come teach in korea a few years ago so we have been having fun catching up and remembering the good ol' days. we went to see chad last night. chad is another friend from teaching in korea, but i have only known him there. it's kind of strange seeing these people back here.....in the world. it's good though.......but seeing chad made me miss t more. i have mostly only hung out with chad when t was also around (in the recent past anyway) and it was strange not to have t around. speaking of t....i got another message from him the other day. he's not finished early like he implied. so it'll be into november when i see him............about 6 weeks from now. it better go quickly. i really miss him.

crazy times....good times!

ok.....so does there always have to be a happening of some kind every where i go?! the fun just never ends. so i made it to ontario. i'm having fun catching up with friends in ottawa. i took a 3 day side trip to montreal to see a friend from university. while i was there.......there was a shooting at dawson college. (i'm sure you've heard about it by now.) it was crazy hearing about it and seeing the tv reports.............but at least this time it didn't include me! i'm back in ottawa now. i'm hanging with michelle (for any of you who had the pleasure of meeting her in korea) and we went to a bead shop this afternoon on our way to her place to make a necklace (for something to do) and it was totally fun! i even ended up making a matching bracelet. just found out that t is done in about a month and will probably be home sooner than i thought. YEA!!!!!!!!!! i can't wait to see him. i'm finished with these 3 month separations. monday i'm off to kingston to see another friend from university and then on wednesday i'm on my way to st. jacobs and waterloo to see other friends. the fun just doesn't stop!! i love it. taking a year off isn't so good for my pocket book......but it sure is fun! hope i still have some fans reading this. (mo.....i see you still check in! at least there's one fan out there!!)

it's been too long.......sorry!!!

i never meant to not be posting since i got home. i don't even know if there are any of you out there still checking for updates. i guess i just got lazy.

well my time at home suddenly got busy. during my first 3 weeks at home i managed to have a weekend road trip with my two younger sisters which was fun and got camping with the family another weekend but spent much of those 3 weeks wishing i was right back in sokcho. then 9 days ago michelle came to visit from ottawa and she helped me have a fun week touring around the beautiful nova scotia. we rented a car and drove around the coast, taking the most scenic route possible. we had fun staying in hostels along the way and even went whale watching. it was awesome.........and nova scotia is truly beautiful. i can't imagine living inland. i stayed inland when i was in mae sot for 3 months and that was too long for me. all those years i spent my summer days playing at the beach i never appreciated it like i should have. all i remember saying was "why can't we ever go to a pool?"! a pool??! i don't even swim. (maybe i would have if i ever got to go to a pool!) but really..........anyone who wants to come to nova scotia and have me show them around.........i'd be more than happy to jump in a car and do that trip over again.

now i'm off again. i leave for ontario tomorrow afternoon, catching a ride with my parents to get there then around the end of the month i will fly to st. john, nb and visit my sis and bro-in-law for a week or two and then drive back here with them in time for thanksgiving. while in ontario i will see michelle again, a friend from high school, two friends from university, a friend who's visiting canada and i worked with in korea, and two friends from here who i brought to korea for a year and now they are living in ontario!! that's a busy few weeks but it'll help pass time and i'm so excited to catch up with people i haven't seen in a while. there is about 2 months left before i go to mississippi........and it can't happen fast enough. t has less than 2 months left in korea and i can't wait 'till he's done.

don't know when the next post will be. hopefully not as long as it took me to get this one up.......but i'm making no promises!
